New Website Tells You the Song You Were Conceived To

By James Joiner Begs the question, "Does the song your parents got down to help dictate who you are?"

Two people, a little science, and some heavy breathing.

While surrounding circumstances vary widely, at the end of the day, we were all conceived in the same way. Now, thanks to Pork Track, which may be the best-named website in all of the Internet, you can tap into the powers of data-mining to find out what tune your parents were (probably) busting their baby-making moves to.

How do they attain such information, especially since your folks themselves barely remember anything, let alone your-very special, naturally-moment of conception? It's simple, really. You punch in your birthdate, Pork Track subtracts the normal human gestation period of 40 weeks - don't worry, there's a special box for those with an abnormal span - then tells you the #1 song in the country for that particular day.

Simple, yes, but brilliant in its simplicity.

While, unfortunately, the site can only dig as far back as 1959, the first full year of Billboard's Hot 100 chart, the results you get when searching for celebrities are pretty interesting. They even raise the question, "does the purported song of our conception play into our astrological destinies?" Probably about as much as any peripheral birth circumstances do, but it sure can seem like it.
