Torafu Architects wanted make something that would represent the time shared between two people, which grows more valuable and precious with each year. "When the silver was coated, we had kept in mind that the gold should show eventually over time with regular daily wear," says Jody Wong of Torafu Architects. But how long will it take for the pretty metal to surface? According to Tomoko Kurahara, a retailer of the ring in Japan,"[the silver] will start to wear off gradually in half a year or so, but sometimes it might take a few years."

All rings are by custom order and will ship in about six weeks. To order, email info@deuxpoissons.com.
