What's your best revenge story?

Katy Perry decided to get revenge by calling out her high school crush who never gave her the time of day in front of a huge crowd of adoring fans. The pop star made a special appearance at her alma mater, Dos Pueblos High School in Goleta, California for a homecoming event.

"It's like, don't break my heart, because I'm going to go and write a song about you," Perry said. "I'm so thankful that God gave me that gift." It just so happened that the main character of her unrequited love story, Shane Lopes, was at the event.

"Is that Shane Lopes? You were the most popular kid in my class, but you never wanted to date me, it was always Amanda Wayne. Oh yeah, you really chose right, honey. What's up now, playa?" said Perry.

TMZ reported that Lopes was surprised when Perry picked him out of the crowd. As it turns out, he married his high-school sweetheart and is "happy with how things turned out."

Here's my personal revenge story in short: He swept me off my feet, took me to his college dance, sent me 13 red roses on my birthday (one for good luck, which should have been the first sign that he was a playa), drove to my college to hang out with me and started a fight with some random guy at a party that he thought was checking me out (how dreamy), and completed the relationship by hooking up with my friend at a party in front of everyone that I knew (how romantic). I admittedly got much pleasure in turning down a recent facebook marriage proposal. Not as dramatic as completely embarrassing someone in front of a crowd of adoring fans (I don't really think I would want to go that route anyway), but still satisfying.

For me, I can't deny the age old adage that living well is the best revenge.
