Has anyone else been feeling stressed out by online dating lately? There is so much emailing and scheduling just to find out what one guy is like in person. I've been really busy and overwhelmed this month, so I've been having my BFF Cheryl read through the emails and filter for me. If she gets a skeevy feeling, delete! I don't even bother to open the emails first or to glance at what she's reading.

The other day, after she gasped at someone in my inbox, her husband asked me, "What if Cheryl just deleted the love of your life?" HA! I say, if she deletes someone, then it wasn't meant to be. If there's a good egg within 20 miles of me and he's on Match.com-and he expresses interest-then she will catch it.

Cheryl knows what's best for me and what's a waste of my time. She knows my taste in looks, maturity, spirituality, personality, neighborhoods, lifestyle, sense of humor, everything. She knows I don't like men in law enforcement (apologies to any policemen or highway patrol officers who may be offended by that). And she's a better filterer than I am, because she doesn't get swayed by the idea of kissing one of these guys who looks hot but can't spell.

Thank goodness I have a married friend who doesn't come into contact with these clowns as often, so she is not burned out the way I am. It's great to have an agent (and not one of those online dating concierges-creepsville!). Plus, she works for free. She is a free agent, haha! Her commission will be the pleasure of knowing I have met the love of my life. So, get to work, Cheryl!
