With the NHL playoffs underway, the NBA playoffs kicking off on Saturday, and baseball season in full swing, it's sports central out there. Got a guy who's all over the game? NHL star (and Philadelphia Flyers hottie) Claude Giroux offers up his tips on how to hold your own if you haven't got a clue about his favorite sport.

Don't Fake It…
Even if you love sports, you can't be on top of them all. It's okay if a dude's a basketball fan and you wouldn't know a free throw from a three-pointer. Guys actually like explaining it. Plus, you can avoid those awkwardly obvious "I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-talking-about" moments.

...But Be Open to Learning More
If your man is obsessed with a team, check out a game or two-you might realize why he loves it so much and become a fan yourself. If not, at least you tried.

Tweet About It
See a game that you like? Tweet or Facebook about it, like, "Wow-the Flyers were on fire tonight." Guys like knowing you were watching. It's even better if it's cool and insider-y, like writing that you voted for Claude to make the cover of EA Sports NHL 13.

Wait to be an Uber-Fan
If your guy takes you to a game, don't dress head-to-toe in team colors-it can look insincere. Just wear a cute pair of jeans and a tee with layered bracelets (think: Minka Kelly at Yankees games).

Text Him Good Luck
Guys can be superstitious on game day, so every little bit counts. Just shoot him a quick text like, "Good luck today! I know [insert his team name here] is going to kill it."

Accept That He'll Be MIA
When the game's on, nothing else exists. If you're cool with that, he'll be blown away. On the flip side, he'll understand that he has to deal when you're watching your team.

Surprise Him With Tickets
Nothing screams "I'm freaking awesome!" like surprising a guy with tickets to see his team. Treat him to a game-you'll score serious brownie points.

Support the Team
Try wearing a bra and panty set with his team colors to bed the night before a big game. Sure, he knows you're not obsessed with his team as he is, but he'll love knowing you support his, uh, habit.
