April is Earth Month, but in the world of beauty, going natural is a big deal everyday. Organic beauty has gone from being a concern for co-op shoppin' hippie chicks to being front and center, and there are new brands purporting to be "all-natural" popping up daily. These 10 lines each have their own appeal, from USDA-certified ingredients to fair trade sources and low carbon footprints. Check them out and get a little greener.

  • Suntegrity: When it comes to our everyday skin care routine, Suntegrity is one of the foundations. Their sunscreen smells like freshly squeezed tangerine juice, and it's incredibly gentle. It's a physical sunscreen, made with 20 percent zinc oxide, so you get broad-spectrum protection. Plus, it's also packed with goodies like aloe juice and cucumber extract.

  • Tay: We love Tay's awesome bamboo packaging, and the stuff inside the bottles is pretty great, too. Try the Botanical Water ($28) for removing residue left over by cleanser or masks.

  • Ilia: Lip color often has all kinds of questionable stuff in it: lead, artificial preservatives, and phthalates. The lip conditioners from Ilia ($24), however, are gorgeous, smell great, and have none of those issues. They're made almost entirely of hydrating, organically sourced oils, and the shades are truly outstanding.

  • Suki: Suki is a combination of two big trends in skin care, blending organic ingredients and futuristic-sounding proprietary compounds. The company promises to use organic, fair trade, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and they've engineered their manufacturing process so that it has almost no carbon footprint.

  • Sheswai: Lots of nail lacquers these days are made without formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP, but Sheswai takes things a step further by incorporating more sustainable packaging (like their wooden bottle caps).

  • Sprout: Love the idea of freshly made skin care, but don't have a Lush nearby? You might want to order from Sprout, then. This Brooklyn-based brand requires that all its ingredients be certified organic, fair trade, or sourced from small family farms, and they cook everything up in new batches once a week. Plus, Gwyneth Paltrow gave them her GOOP-y seal of approval.

  • Duchess Marden: If roses are your thing, you're going to love Duchess Marden. This brand's all plant-derived formulas center around Damascus rose oil, which smells great and hydrates wonderfully, too.

  • Nourish Organic Food For Healthy Skin: Finding a whole USDA-certified line of skin care in your grocery store isn't typically an option, but starting April 23, Whole Foods will be stocking the entire Nourish line of products. They're all truly, reliably organic, and the packaging, as you can see, is stunning.

  • Melvita: Melvita may not be a household name in the US yet, but in France, they've been the biggest organic brand for decades. Now they're beginning to launch stores stateside, and you can get their Continental take on natural beauty, complete with flower waters and pollen-based skin care.

  • Éminence: Hungarian organics line Éminence is another European line that's recently jumped across the Atlantic and onto the US market. They have a wide range of skin care that focuses on aging and acne concerns, but they've also recently debuted a USDA-certified organic collection of body products.
