As a mom, what's the best part of your day?

Going into Bryn's room when she gets up. She's so excited - like a little bird hatching out of a shell: Let's do it!

What's a parenting rule you never break?

I'm diligent about making sure she tries a variety of foods. And she never eats off the kids' menu. I want her to eat what I'm eating.

And one you always break?

We don't have a lot of rules yet - this is her time in life to have fun.

Three words that describe you as a mom?

"Thrilled," "grateful," and "amazed."

Five things you always have in your purse?

Lip gloss, powder, hand sanitizer, a hair tie, and mints. I'm one of those people who have everything in their purses.

What's the one beauty product you can't live without?

Baby wipes. I use them to take off my makeup and clean my face, especially when I'm traveling.

And five things you always have in your fridge?

Parmesan cheese, grape tomatoes, Dijon mustard, butter, and organic milk for Bryn.

What are you reading right now?

I'm not a huge reader, but I just finished Kate White's The Sixes, and now I'm into Harlan Coben's Live Wire.

What books do you read to Bryn?

Dogs Don't Do Ballet, The Legend of Messy M'Cheany, and The Giving Tree.

How do you unwind?

Stretch, take a bath, get a massage, do yoga, or grab a cocktail. It's hard to wind down, but then I beat myself up because I have a tense back.

Do you do girls' nights out?

I'm getting better at that. A few weeks ago, we went out for margaritas and danced until 2 A.M. I can only do that every six months, because with Bryn, I never get more than six hours of sleep.

What's a date night for you and your husband?

We have a date to go bowling. We've never gone before, but we need to do something fun and silly.
