7 Celeb Moms Who Helped Us Find Baby-Weight Peace

Sick and tired of the ongoing obsession with "dropping the baby weight" as quickly as possible, these moms took a stand this year. It was a refreshing change of pace, which is why we're taking this moment to applaud… By Lauren Le Vine, REDBOOK.

Kim Kardashian
In October, Kim told Jay Leno that all the criticism of her pregnancy weight gain "really hurt my soul." She responded to haters by posting an extremely revealing photo of herself on Instagram, and admitted to The Tonight Show host that the picture was her "big middle finger to the world and everyone that called me fat."

Kristen Bell
The actress posed for the cover of REDBOOK's September issue 11 weeks after giving birth to daughter Lincoln. Bell told us that she was still 15 pounds away from her pre-pregnancy weight, but she was in no rush to lose it. Twitter exploded with messages of support.

Jessica Alba
The actress spoke candidly about her body after two children, telling Women's Health UK that "I have cellulite and stretch marks-and I have a muffin top!" and that she "certainly didn't appreciate my boobs before," but after breastfeeding, she just laughs and says, "Oh! Really? Is this where we're at these days?"

Tracy Anderson
Contrary to popular belief, trainer-to-the-stars (and Gwyneth Paltrow BFF) Tracy Anderson does not expect women to lose baby weight in a hot second. "The worst thing we can do is criticize new celebrity moms and make it look like it's shameful to not lose baby weight really fast. I don't understand why women do this to women…. I would tell new moms to slow down. It's not a race," she told us in September.

Kate Middleton
When the Duchess of Cambridge left the hospital the day after giving birth to Prince George, the Internet was aflutter about the fact that she "still had a baby bump." Apparently, many people were not aware that a woman's midsection doesn't immediately return to its pre-pregnancy shape the instant it no longer contains a baby. So kudos to Kate for the unintentional anatomy lesson and for not choosing an outfit that hid the residual bump.

Beyoncé
The singer gained 57 pounds during her pregnancy and worked hard to get back into performance shape. She told Shape, "I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again!"

Megan Fox
The actress, who's currently expecting her second child, told Cosmo, "I actually got much more comfortable being curvy. I didn't lose all of my baby weight on purpose because I enjoyed having thighs and a booty-I think Brian enjoys that as well."
