The 7 Weirdest Gifts Prince George Got for His First Birthday

By Brie Schwartz, REDBOOK.

In honour (note the British spelling) of his first birthday, Prince George has been gifted a lot of strange loot. Here are the highlights:

1.
A baby crocodile, aptly named George, from Australia's Northern Territory. The poor prince isn't allowed to play with his pet, but they can keep in touch via George the Royal Crocodile's Facebook page. Ain't he sweet?

2.
Some meerkats from the Dudley and West Midlands Zoological Society. Standard.

3.
His own currency.

4. A field of flowers from his Count Tibor Kálnoky, a friend of Grandaddy Prince Charles. "If we sent flowers, they would wilt," Kálnoky said. Seems reasonable.

5.
A bull from the Samburu people of Kenya, which will be used to start a "royal herd" in the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.

6.
One teensy bomber jacket to wear while he watches Top Gun from the fine folks at Stevenson Campus Air Hangar in Canada.

7.
And a surfboardt, not from Beyoncé, but from the mayor of Australia's Manly Beach. Manly, indeed.
Happiest birthday you, little gent! Our reptile is in the mail.
