It's Been an Amazing Year

On Monday will be the original due date a year ago, for my baby bug. This past year is one that I am so blessed to have been able to experience. An experience that I wouldn't trade for the world, despite the moments of sleep deprivation, frustration, and anxiety. Over this past year, I have experienced a tiny human being born. She grows and learns so fast that it's almost unbelievable that she once this helpless infant. Though she is still very much 100% dependant on us, her parents, family and friends, to provide for her, comfort her and love her... she is showing her independance already. She has learned how to move on her own (though she is still learning to walk) and learn how to eat (even with her almost 6 teeth) on her own. She has figured out how to communicate, albeit not in our typical ways of language. And boy, can she communicate. It is hilarious to see her with her friends at "school" (it's what we call her daycare center as it is also a preschool). You set her down with her friends and she (as well as they do) all start jabbering away as if they have been girlfriends for 20 years out for coffee. She won't hesitate to flash you her almost toothy grin and a wave. While it is still kinda scary to have a little human so fully dependant on you, at the same time it is so awesome and wonderful to see her explore the world as she sees it. When she learns to do or say something new, I always think to myself, "Wow! I didn't know she could do/say that! I wonder what she will learn next." While this all just barely scratches the surface of the past year, I can't wait until I can see what she learns and experiences this next year.
