Demi Lovato: A Good Role Model for 'X Factor' Hopefuls

Demi Lovato, who was confirmed to be joining the panel of X Factor alongside Britney Spears, will be a good role model for contestants on the hit FOX show.

The 19-year-old was very open about her battle with depression, drug-use and bulimia, and experts believe her experience could prove to have a positive influence on her generation.

Clinical psychologist Vivian Diller, Ph.D., told Celebuzz:

''Demi has been outspoken and inspiring to others about how you pick yourself up after you've been down. She may be very good, because she cares a lot. Let's hope that she uses that to be a fair and empathic judge. She could potentially be a good role model for others.''
