Is Ugly a Bad Four-Letter Word?

Have you seen these UglyDolls? Yes, that's what they're really called, I'm not just being mean. I recently spotted one in an ad and I have been intrigued by them ever since. I have nothing against all those beautiful, perfectly plush toys out there, I just find it hilarious that someone decided to market, well, ugly dolls, too.

But that actually leads me to my point. I'd love to get my daughter one of these dolls and I think she'd really like it, but I have problem with them being called "ugly." You see, "ugly" is a bad word in my house. Maybe I'm just a crazy mom, but in my opinion curse words aren't the only bad words. "Ugly" is off limits in my house in addition to "stupid," "dumb," "hate," the list goes on. I'm sorry, but these are just words I don't think my 2-year-old should say or hear.

So my dilemma is, do I get the "ugly" doll and call it something else or should I not buy it at all because I really do wish they'd found a better name for them? Or am I just being crazy with all my "bad words?" Do you have words you don't allow your kids to say? Share your thoughts in the comments.
