Jenna Lyons Catches Heat for Painting Son's Nails Hot Pink. Big Deal or Not?

Okay, here's a fact: everyone and their mother loves J. Crew. I'm not sure I've ever met a person who had something bad to say about the brand, except that the clothes are a little on the expensive side.

The world's love affair with J. Crew has a lot to do with Jenna Lyons. She's the executive creative director for the brand and basically the reason why you want everything in the catalogs. For the last few years, it's been nothing but praise for her and how far she's taken J. Crew, but apparently she messed with the wrong right wings in a recent email blast.

That's Jenna and her adorable son Beckett and yes his toenails are painted. Hot pink.

Now Jenna is not the first "famous" person who's painted her son's nails. Both of Gwen Stefani's sons have been photographed with painted fingernails. Kingston wore orange and Zuma wore what looked to be burgundy. Maybe Gwen gets a pass because she isn't as mainstream as Jenna and J. Crew, but some critics at FoxNews.com are slamming her.

I will admit, I would do a double take if I saw a little boy with hot pink toenails, but it's not really that big of a deal to me. Beckett doesn't look older than six and kids at that age kids like everything. I do, however, think Jenna should think twice about painting little Beckett's nails with Essie, though.
