A memo issued to performers outlaws "thong-type costumes" and "sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples," to be put into effect for this weekend's broadcast. The Standard and Practice Wardrobe Advisory has also asked performers to "... please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack." Because, you know, there was that whole Janet Jackson fiasco. Supposedly this is all an effort to create a more family-friendly show. Despite all of this hullabaloo, kids have actually been performing at the awards for years! I've got a roundup of examples to prove it.
