Prince William, Kate Middleton: One Child is “Enough at the Moment”

It would appear that TMZ has some competition, as the Irish Guards Brigade has proven itself so tenacious and committed to excavating gossip that Rita Skeeter would no doubt be awestruck. Monday, Prince William and Kate Middleton appeared, as they have in years past, at the St. Patrick's Day parade held at Mons Barracks in Aldershot, England. As ever, Kate's well-constructed outfit upstaged pretty much everything else going on, and it would seem that while everyone else was distracted by Kate's fancy green coat and shiny brooch . . . a bunch of Irish Guards used the opportunity to grill William about George and his plans with Kate.

And these guys managed to score some serious dirt! Regimental Sergeant Major Ray Collister, 56, told reporters that he had asked William if there were any more children on the way (Kate is perpetually rumored to be pregnant in the British press), to which William apparently replied, "Maybe one day. One's enough at the moment." Collister added, "He said maybe when there's time." (You spoke to the guy for, like, 10 seconds, Ray; let's maybe ease up a little on the insinuations of intimacy.) Additionally, a guardsman named Glenn Tierney told reporters that William revealed that George is "doing really well and . . . very busy crawling and eating" (we would frankly not be surprised if adult Brits start crawling on the streets now; "crawling is so chic," Suki Waterhouse is telling her friends over dinner, we're sure).

Tierney-who we hope has already gotten an offer to string for Us Magazine-told reporters, "I asked them all about George, I'm nosey like that . . . They said they're very busy sorting everything out for taking [George] to Australia. They're very excited." Honestly, get Tierney on Cressida Bonas. Put him on the Jennifer Aniston beat. Give him 30 seconds with January Jones, and we'd all immediately learn who fathered her child.
