Shakespeare Smoked Pot? Seriously?

By Barbara Greenberg, PhD and Jennifer Powell-Lunder, PsyD, for GalTime.com

This just in. William Shakespeare whose literary works your teens are or will be reading in the Fall may have been inspired by smoking pot. Apparently, remnants of the drug were found on pipe fragments discovered in Shakespeare's garden.

A South African anthropologist is asking for his body to be dug up to check for further evidence of marijuana use. In the recent past politicians, celebrities, and teen idols have gotten into trouble, but William Shakespeare?!

Can't our teens have one role model whose past is squeaky clean or is that an impossible request for anyone?

And, oh dear, how will you respond when the teens say "well William Shakespeare did it."

YOUR THOUGHTS?
