'Teen Mom' Jenelle Evans should have stayed in jail this time

Jenelle Evans

must be feeling some serious deja vu right about now. The 19-year-old Teen Mom star was arrested Monday night for violating her probation, again, having allegedly tested positive for drug use, again (marijuana and opiates). She was taken into custody at Brunswick County Detention Center in North Carolina and later released after posting $10,000 bail.

So, I have a question. It has nothing to do with whether or not Evans will eventually straighten out and fly right, or how son Jace is going to be affected by all of this. I'm not even particularly curious about how Evans let herself get caught, again -- has she not figured out by now that smoking pot even the week before her mandatory drug test is cutting it too close?

No, my question regarding Evans and her repeated arrests is this ...

Thousands of dollars in bail money, legal fees ... who the hell is footing the bill for this girl's downward spiral??

Disclaimer: I'm no expert on the bail bonds system. If my limited understanding is correct, then Evans didn't necessarily have to post the entire $10,000 in order to be released; a percentage might have sufficed, with the remainder of the amount deferred until she goes to trial on August 24.

Even so, it's safe to say that there's a hell of a lot of money being thrown out the window over Evans' illegal activities. Where is it all coming from? Is her stint on Teen Mom merely funding her career as a delinquent? At least if a portion of her TV salary was put aside in a college fund or something for Jace, the poor kid would ultimately benefit from his mother's infamy. Unfortunately, it seems like all of mommy's money, not to mention opportunities, are going to waste.

Perhaps Jenelle Evans should have just saved everyone the money -- and trouble -- and stayed in jail this time.

Do you think Jenelle Evans should still be in the slammer?
