Now and Then (1995)

This is perfect for moms and daughters to watch together. Four childhood friends gather together to relive the greatest summer of their lives. This movie is packed with huge celebrities, like Demi Moore, Rosie O-Donnell, Rita Wilson, Christina Ricci, Thora Birch and Melanie Griffith. Rated PG-13

Troop Beverly Hills (1989)

A soon-to-be-divorced Beverly Hills wife (played by the hilarious Shelley Long) is determined to prove to her husband and herself that she can finish what she started. She quickly realizes that being a Wilderness Girls' den mother to a troop of spoiled Beverly Hills girls is not as easy as selling cookies door to door. Rated PG.

My Girl (1991)

Set in the summer of 1972, the story follows Vada, her funeral director father (Dan Aykroyd), her best friend (Macaulay Culkin), and the funeral director's new make-up artist (Jamie Lee Curtis). It's simultaneously funny, sad and sweet. Rated PG-13.

Heavy Weights (1995)

Surf's Up (2007)

A documentary-style cartoon that follows penguin Cody Maverick traveling from his hometown in Antarctica to the biggest penguin surf competition in the world. The epitome of a fun summer cartoon for your little one. Rated G.

The Goonies (1985)

The Sandlot (1986)

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005)

Another great one for moms and daughters. As four BFFs spend their first summer apart, they share a magical pair of jeans that fits each one of them perfectly, despite the fact that the girls come in all shapes and sizes. To stay in touch, they mail these pants to each other and it serves as a link between them as they each go through their own separate adventures. Rated PG-13

Rookie of the Year (1993)

A 12-year-old boy gets into an accident that leaves his arm able to miraculously pitch as fast as 103 mph. He's quickly signed to the major leagues and becomes a huge phenomenon. Rated PG.
