This mother of three isn't your typical lunch-packing mom in a pink sweatsuit (though a New York Times article a while back made her look that way). Wasserman Schultz is also the head of the Democratic National Committee, the powerful fundraising arm of the Democratic Party. If you don't live in Florida, you might recognize her name as one of former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords good friends who kept fundraising efforts going in case Giffords had decided she was up for another electoral race following her shooting.
