In case you haven't noticed, The Wizard of Oz is a trend that is popping up just about everywhere, thanks to Oz: The Great and Powerful, which comes out this spring. But L. Frank Baum started it all when he penned 14 Oz books, publishing the first in 1900. It has become one of the best-known stories in American pop culture thanks to the original movie in 1939. If you are familiar with the story, series or movies, you know that there are quite a few unique characters with names to match.
