Why do people think Janet Jackson should be the guardian of Michael Jackson's kids?

Last week I wrote about Michael Jackson's father keeping his eyes out for any entertainment potential in his grandkids, Prince Michael II, Paris, and "Blanket." Comments so far definitely share my need to cringe upon hearing that tidbit of info. But what surprises me were the Shine user comments saying that Michael's sister, Janet Jackson, should be appointed guardian of his kids.

Shine user Siri said, "Sadly, the only person in this family I'd like to see get custody of all "3" of these children is Janet."

Rawrkaylaa added that, if it's not Janet, "Diana Ross should get those kids."

Another Hockey Fan said, "...Janet seems to make the best parent choice for the kids."

And more Shine users chimed in to agree.

I'm not sure Janet Jackson is even on the table as an option to be the guardian of Michael Jackson's children. But I do wonder why folks think she's the next logical choice.

Is it because during his memorial, she stood by the kids and showed off her maternal comforting skills (a la the photo above)? Honestly, I can't ever remember seeing her ever photographed with young kids before.

Or is it because of all the Jacksons, she seems the most grounded and sane? Unclear.

What's your take? Why do so many folks think Janet Jackson would be a fitting parent to Michael Jackson's kids?
