Laugh Out Loud Dog Breeds
Does your dog make you laugh more than most people? Have you ever met a dog whose antics rival that of some of the best comedians? In fact, dogs are great joke tellers; just watch their tail or tushie wag to and fro when they do something to make you laugh out loud, literally.

Some dog breeds have more of a comedic funny bone running through their skeletal system than others. Though all dogs have a propensity to make us laugh, here are 8 dog breeds who are actually comedians in a dog's body. See how many of these tickle your fancy and with which you agree.

Bull Terrier
This stout and sturdy pooch is described as playful and clownish on the official AKC breed information website. In fact, the AKC goes so far as to describe the Bully as a "three-year-old child in a dog suit." What makes him so comedic, according to Bull Terrier fanciers, is his charming disposition, love of children, instinct to bond quickly with his family, and of course: His downright silly antics. He is imaginative and devoted, yet playful and comical.

Dandie Dinmont Terrier

I don't know about you, but even saying that name aloud makes me subtly smile. Having recently attended the Westminster Kennel Club Show, this is a breed with which I made quick friends. This breed is named for a character in a Sir Walter Scott novel. From the whimsical tuft of hair on his head to his stout stature, this little dog trapped in a big dog's body is known for his self-reliance but exuberant personality.

American Cocker Spaniel
Though I cannot speak to the English variety, as a devoted Cocker mom, this breed's American counterpart could easily be renamed American "Clown" Spaniel. From hiding bones in piles of laundry to the incessant "Wigglebutt" shake of their tushies, the Cocker Spaniel is a true jokester. The breed standard calls for a merry disposition, so send in the Cocker clowns.

French Bulldog
Is it any wonder that Manny the Frenchie is a rock star on Instagram? His playful, clownish nature makes the French Bulldog an exceptional canine companion and playmate. His happy go lucky nature is rivaled only by his snoring, drooling, and fun-loving facial wrinkles.

Newfoundland
If you say the breed's name aloud, the word "fun" seemingly rolls off the tongue. Is it any wonder that these loyal companions are great playmates to children and extremely docile pets. These people pleasers are gentle giants that are also the life of the party.

Keeshond
With the nickname "the laughing Dutchman," of course the Keeshond takes a spot on our dogs who are comedians list. These gregarious, cuddly, and outgoing dogs want nothing more than to cuddle and thrive on affection when not walking and exploring. The breed was used as a watch dog and companion for centuries on Dutch farms and barges.

Dachshund
Developed in Germany to be a close-to-the-ground hunter, the Dachshund is silly, fun, lively, and alert. What he lacks in height he makes up for in comedic length and stamina. Loving daily walks, his inquisitive nature makes him a consistently ranked top 10 AKC breed. Being the scenthounds they are, his nose tends to easily distract him, so keep a close on this pint-sized pooch.

Standard Schnauzer
He learns quickly how to do what his pet parent wants but his spirited intelligence is perfect for performing tricks for appreciative audiences. He is even-tempered yet outgoing and known for his very protective nature. This dependable family member is the oldest of the three Schnauzer breeds, with the others being Miniature and Giant Schnauzers.
