6 Short and Chic Wedding Dresses

Alison Syrett, Lucky magazine

Natalie Portman got married in a tea-length Rodarte gown with sheer sleeves this past weekend. While I plan to get married in a full length gown at my (pretty traditional) wedding this coming October, if I were eloping or heading to City Hall, I'd probably opt for an above-the-knee style.

Perhaps it's the blush sheath that Audrey Hepburn wore to say her vows in 1969 that convinced me, but I've always found a short wedding dress inherently chic. It's understated yet very romantic, much like the type of ceremony where one wears it. Plus there's a chance you can actually wear it again, and not just as a part of your Miss Havisham Halloween costume.

To get you inspired, I've found six I-do dresses with abbreviated hemlines-and lots of impact. Click through to shop them all now.
