Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 Wedding Dress Collection: First Look

by Lauren Frankfort

Carolina Herrera designed her Fall 2014 wedding dress collection with party-ready brides in mind. After attending numerous weddings where the bride immediately slipped out of her ball gown and into a shorter shift, the designer wanted to a create a collection that exclusively consisted of cocktail and tea-length dresses.

"I wanted to design unique options for every event surrounding a bride's wedding from the rehearsal dinner to the reception," Herrera said. "A bride's wedding style should be a reflection of her personality... it's the moment where she can feel her most beautiful."

Just because the hem lengths are shorter doesn't mean these dresses created with any less detail. Herrera's signature craftsmanship and structured femininity-including Chantilly lace appliqués, intricate beadwork, and even feather trims-was apparent in each piece. Plus, more traditional brides will be able to order full-length versions of a few of the dresses shown.
