A Chip-free Manicure for Seven Days? We Put CND Vinylux to the Test

When it comes to nail polish, you can try every color, texture, and finish in the world, but a truly great formula is one that doesn't chip. With the current fixation on nail art and massive personal polish collections, many women rush to remove the sparse remains of a week-old manicure. But that may be a thing of the past. CND, the acclaimed nail care brand behind Shellac, has just launched Vinylux, a new line of polish that promises to last a week without chipping. Unlike gels, or their Shellac formula (a gel-like hybrid that's chip-proof and shiny for two weeks), Vinylux Weekly Polish is a regular nail polish that can be applied at home without UV lamps or special training. Select salons are already offering Vinylux manicures, and bottles sell for $9.90 each. Eager to try it out, Yahoo! Shine went to Escape Salon and Spa in New York City for a Vinylux manicure.
