Rice Krispie Candy Corn Treats These delicious candy corn treats are make with cereal, butter, and marshmallows. Make them up this fall for the trick or treaters in your house! Ingredients 1 batch simple Rice Krispie Treats Yellow Food Paste Orange Food Paste 4 ounces white chocolate Directions 1. Melt the butter and marshmallows together in a large pot and divide the melted mixture between two heatproof bowls. Add a few drops of food paste (yellow to one, orange to the other) and stir well. 2. Divide the cereal evenly amongst each bowl and stir everything together. Use wet hands to take a scoop of each color and form the orange base and yellow middle and top to look like a triangle. Allow the colors to cool like this completely. 3. Melt the white chocolate in a bowl and dip the tops of the triangles in each one until covered.
One of the coolest things about marshmallows is that you can use them in food year-round. They seem to fit into every season. In the fall I like to use them to make Halloween rice krispie treats and stuff like that. In the summer we make s'mores, and in the winter and spring we make all kinds of rocky road type desserts. There are so many possibilities. If you happen to walk by a great bag of marshmallows in the store tomorrow grab and bag or two and get making one of these awesome treats! - By Kelsey Benfield
