Inside the Lives of Sleeping Parents-to-Be
Russian photographer Jana Romanova has created an exceptional series called "Waiting " which first began by capturing friends during their pregnancies. There is a special twist, however: she photographs them in the early morning in their bedrooms... while they are still sleeping. The idea was born as a result of friends around her becoming pregnant and conversations quickly turning to children. Romanova wanted to capture their pregnancy journeys in a unique way. She describes the timing on her website, "when people don't really care about their appearance, and one can see their attitude to each other and to this life that is growing inside their family." - By Ellen Schmidt
