Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" Style Evolution

Evelyn Crowley

When Justin Timberlake returned to the music scene this month after a nearly seven-year hiatus, he brought with him not only a more sophisticated sound but also a style to match it. Gone are the beige leather jackets and baggy pants of his *NSYNC days. Bringing sexy back (or fedoras for that matter) doesn't seem to rank high on his agenda either. Rather, the 32-year-old newlywed seems to have found his sartorial footing and, with it, a newfound interest in designer fashion (he wore Tom Ford, Jessica Biel a Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress to their wedding). To wit, the single "Suit & Tie" off his new album, The20/20 Experience, which dropped last night on iTunes, is a genre-hopping, seventies funk-riffing ode to black-tie glamour that name checks Ford and Alexander Wang. Performing the song on Saturday Night Live last weekend with collaborator, Jay-Z, Timberlake, clad in a Ford suit and Christian Louboutin footwear, oozed urbane charisma. We can't wait to see what other looks he has up his expertly tailored sleeve.
