Kate Upton Poses in Zero Gravity for Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue

by Elana Fishman

We'll admit it: last week, we were stunned upon discovering that two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Kate Upton hadn't landed the coveted front of the special-edition glossy for the third time running. That's not to say we weren't into the booty-baring shot of Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal that did land the cover, but frankly, we were a bit disappointed in the lack of Upton love.

As it turns out, however, the 21-year-old did land her very own SI cover…sort of. Tucked behind the front of the issue, you'll find Kate gracing a bonus foldout cover in a coral-colored bikini (check out the shot below). But wait…there's more! Kate's also the subject of the issue's "Zero G" shoot, which features her bouncing (there's really no other word for it, folks) around inside an anti-gravity room (or is it a plane?) in Cape Canaveral wearing an assortment of gold swimwear. And while her celebrated curves are certainly looking as buoyant as ever in the spread-which you can peep in the gallery above-her ultra-glamorous blonde waves are nothing to scoff at, either. Is it even possible to have a bad hair day in space?

Click on over to Swimsuit.SI.com for more shots from Kate Upton's latest photoshoot-and for Sports Illustrated's behind-the-scenes video showing how the "Zero G" story came to be (unless you're prone to motion sickness, in which case, maybe skip that one).
