Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Present Elizabeth & James at NYFW: An Insider's Guide

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a busy New York Fashion Week. On Tuesday, the twins presented their super-luxe Sahara-inspired line for The Row, and just three days later showed Elizabeth & James, their more affordable-but-equally-cool collection, at an intimate gathering at EZ Studios in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood. With E&J (which launched in 2007), the actresses-turned-designers create clothes inspired by their personal boho-chic styles, and this season's wears are no exception with boyfriend blazers, minimalist dresses, maxi skirts, ripped jeans, and cropped pants all popping up at the show. The models had fresh, natural makeup and simple low ponytails that enhanced the head-to-toe young working woman archetype. Shoes, handbags, bucket backpacks (next season's new purse), jewelry, and sunglasses all helped round out the laid-back looks. -- Lauren Tuck, Shine Staff
