Obie the Obese Dachshund Gets His Own Facebook Page

Remember the story of Obie? He's the 5-year-old dachshund who was rescued by a Nora Vanatta when it was discovered that he was being fed to death by his elderly owners. At a whopping 77 pounds, Obie was on the fast track to an early death. Vanatta is also a vet tech and she immediately placed Obie on a weight loss regimen. The program includes hydrotherapy and a low calorie diet. When Obie is healthy enough to exercise more, he will start using a treadmill. Vanatta has also started a Facebook page called "Biggest Loser, Obie Edition" where fans can track Obie's progress.
