Purple Eye Shadow is Totally Having a Moment

There’s just something about fall and the color purple that's so amazing. Shades of grape, burgundy and violet has always looked cool on lips and nails, but this year it's all about the eyes. Suddenly on the runways, on celebs, and on makeup counters—the bold, unexpected hue is everywhere. “Everyone can pull off purple—it’s incredibly wearable; you just have to find the shade that works best for you," says Tarte Cosmetics makeup pro Erin Griffin. Sheer formulations and easy to use color-coordinated palettes  remove a lot of the guesswork, finding your perfect shade is pretty easy. The secret to the of-the-moment look: wearing a mix of shades—dark along lashes, medium on the lid and light by the brow bone. The one solid color thing? Kinda ‘80s.
