Reel 'em In! 7 Books to Read NOW Before They Hit Theaters This Year

Studios are releasing films based on books at a fast clip this year, ranging from light romance to lush adaptations of classic novels. Unlike me, I am sure you have already caught The Great Gatsby since its May release, and it may have inspired you to re-check out F. Scott Fitzgerald's original novel. Just the previews alone made me want to re-read it, preferably with some jazz on low in the background. If Dickens is more your speed, Great Expectations is another classic you can catch re-imagined on-screen later this year . I think I'm most excited to catch up with the film version of one of the classic mainstays of the young adult genre - Tiger Eyes, by Judy Blume. Taking a peek at the list of great options coming from page to screen this year made me really want to sit down with a few of these stories before I experience them as films, though.
