When Anisa and Casey Darnell moved to Roswell, GA, a town just north of Atlanta, buying a home was not an option-the lousy housing market meant they hadn't been able to sell their previous home. But that didn't stop Anisa, a self-taught interior designer who is half of the firm Milk & Honey Home (MilkandHoneyHome.com), from making the rental they found her own. "I would paint if I could, but it seemed safer to keep the neutral colors that were already here," says Anisa.
So she worked with the beige-and-cream palette, adding comfy, functional furnishings and making small cosmetic upgrades to change it from nice-enough to truly inviting. "We might only be here for two years," says Anisa, "but I don't want it to feel like a temporary space. We can always patch holes, but life is too short not to feel happy in your own home."
Charles McDonald and Nate Tice's latest mock draft has five quarterbacks off the board in the top 13, a big-time weapon for Aaron Rodgers and some steals in the second half of the first round.
