The Odd Couple: Miranda Kerr and Cara Delevigne

Fashion’s new Dynamic Duo are less Jagger and Richards, and more Oscar and Felix. When models Miranda Kerr and Cara Delevigne swanned down the runways for Stella McCartney and Chanel for the Spring/Summer 2014 Paris Fashion Week shows, theirs was an odd, inspired pairing that brought down the house. Two more different models you couldn’t get: Kerr, the cherub-cheeked, dimpled-smiled married mother of an adorable toddler with a million-dollar body honed by daily yoga, an organic diet, and healthy discipline. Delevigne, the glamorously bleary, barely-legal aristocrat-turned-urchin-turned-catwalk supernova. Just look at the image of Delevigne photobombing Kerr backstage at McCartney's show and you get the picture. (But note that is was Kerr who cheerfully posted the snap on Instagram, writing "Love you!" to Delevigne in the caption.) As random a duo as they seem, they are still both genetically gifted supermodels and hence, share common ground: both are former Victoria’s Secret stars (Delevigne only lasted one season with the squeaky-clean retailer; Kerr just hung up her wings this fall after eight years.) Both have been Page Six fodder thanks to Leonardo DiCaprio (no explanations needed there.)  And both are fantastic, super-cool ladies. Tongue-in-cheek musings aside, we adore them equally. And, most interestingly, both come from rather surprising backgrounds. Here, a closer look at both beauties. — Charlotte Rudge, Shine Staff
