Twitter may be the fastest source for Kate Middleton baby news, but it's not the most reliable. Case in point: The false alarm tweets on Thursday announcing the future monarch's arrival.

Although there's been no announcement from Buckingham Palace and the official handle @BritishMonarchy has remained mum, that hasn’t stopped the social network from bursting with rumors of the royal baby’s impending birth.

One Daily Mirror columnist quipped that Twitter was having "Braxton Hicks" contractions, similar to the false signs of labor moms-to-be have close to their deliveries. Example:

The media is also getting sucked in. From London’s Daily Express reporter Richard Palmer:

Remember just last week when Kate Middleton and Prince William received their first royal baby gift and it was a cardboard box? Well, the gifts keep on rollin' in - and this week, they're even crazier! Kate was reportedly given a $15,000 bracelet that doubles as a diaper cream holder.

I kid you not, folks - a bracelet that moonlights as a portable diaper cream container. Modern marvels, y'all!

She may have gone on maternity leave a month ago, but it’s almost impossible for Kate Middleton to avoid the spotlight—especially as she only has a few more days to go before her alleged July 13th due date.  Journalists camping out in tents at St. Mary’s Hospital in London for over a week have have had little to report thus far.  “I guess we’re here just in case she walks through the front doors. Which is very unlikely,” one freelance photographer told the the National Post.

Turns out, he’s right. Just yesterday, reports emerged that Middleton managed to go to the hospital for a stealth visit the other day. An intense security sweep prior to her arrival indicated to journalists and hospital workers alike that Kate may have been coming by, which was later confirmed by a patient telling E!News: “I was at the hospital with Kate Middleton! I was told it was a checkup.” (The palace did not confirm the account.)

In the meantime, Us Weekly claims Kate’s been holed up at Kensington Palace waiti...Read More »

"It's long been said that the USA and UK have a special relationship, and that is certainly the case between Hollywood's elite and the Royal Family," Find My Past rep Debra Chatfield told the Daily Mail. "The closest relation we found to the Hollywood children was the late Princess Diana. [Her] ancestr
