There's a Reason Why Your Moisturizer is Sold Out; Your Boyfriend Bought It

Here's a newsflash for you: New research shows men primp just as much as women do, and they're spending big bucks to do it.

In the last two years, sales of men's grooming products have increased by a whopping 420 percent. As shocking as that number is, the real mind-blowing stat is that dudes are now getting their grooming essentials from the women's aisle: The number of men purchasing female grooming products is up by 76 percent since 2010, according to HauteLook.

While we once called guys who wear skinny jeans and use lavender-scented body wash "metro," now it seems the male population as a whole is so concerned about their crow's feet that the top-selling men's grooming products are skin care products, including cleansers, moisturizers, and eye creams.

I don't know about you, but I'm going to move my skin care essentials from the medicine cabinet to a secret hiding spot so my boyfriend doesn't start slathering the spendy stuff all over his face. After all, I don't want to compete with my boyfriend on who's the prettier one in the relationship.
