The Best-Tasting Lip Products

I ask for three things from a lip gloss: shine without stickiness, a subtle pink tint, and a yummy taste (after all, studies have shown that we consume approximately 4 to 9 pounds of product per year, so it better at least taste good, right?). And while the first two requirements are somewhat easy to fill, I find myself having to compromise on the third. So many lip products are too sweet, too waxy, or, oddly, too floral. So imagine my delight when I spotted Estée Lauder's Pure Color Sheer Rollergloss in Squeeze in the beauty closet the other day and discovered that not only does it give my lips the perfect glossy sheen, but the scent and taste make it a dead ringer for a watermelon Ring Pop. 1. Sara Happ Lip Scrub in Vanilla Bean. No gloss or lipstick is going to look good over chapped, flaky lips. I use this scrub in the shower each morning and lick off the excess.
