Get your Pinterest boards ready. The premiere of Catching Fire is only 50 days away, and people (ie, fans. ie, us) are already starting to gather beauty and fashion inspiration for its release. That's because this portion of the trilogy features Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) all dolled up for her winning Capitol tour. That means: out-of-this-world braids, burgundy smoky eyes, and intricate, avant-garde gowns that you'll want to adopt right into your own routine. Kind of.

To help bring some of those futuristic looks down to the present, CoverGirl is launching a Capitol Collection of bright, bold makeup items, as well as a website with images and how-to videos by celebrity makeup artist Dotti. In the coming weeks, they'll "unlock" 12 new looks for each of the districts, and we got the first look at two of them. "I wanted to create looks that were avant-garde, but also elegant and approachable," says Dotti.

The makeup for the Textiles district (left) was just as layered as the puffy blue coverup. Dotti worked with four shadows (CoverGirl Flamed Out Shadow Pots in Red Hot, Melted Gold, Charcoal, and Blazing White) to create the pink and gold smoky eyes. Then she dabbed on a slew of products (LiquilineBlast Liner in Violet Voltage, LipPerfection lipsticks in Soulmate, Burn, and Euphoria, Flamed out Shadow Pot in Melted Gold, and Capitol Collection Gloss) for the dripping red lips.

For the Technology district (right), Dotti set out to make the face look as reflective as metal. She smoothed on multiple layers of creamy luminizer for a metallic sheen, and finished by actually gluing pieces of metal paper onto the eyebrows. For mirror-y lips, she patted on CoverGirl Queen Collection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Copper Stars followed by Capitol Collection Gloss.
