Jennifer Lawrence is Growing Her Hair Out in the Cutest Way Possible

When Jennifer Lawrence chopped off all her hair last year, the collective reaction was a gasping what?! followed immediately by a knowing duh! Because of course Jennifer Lawrence would chop her hair. The question was never if it would happen, but rather when. Sure, the girl knows how to wear a gown, but she's also the tomboy-iest celebrity to walk a red carpet-often in killer heels, no less. She's the epitome of a low-maintenance, tell-it-like-it-is, keep-it-real starlet, and a short, no-frills 'do just makes sense. It was a major change at first that drew polarizing reactions, but after attending a billion premieres for Catching Fire and doing the whole awards season circuit, pretty much everyone had joined Team Pixie.

Well, hopefully you're OK with change, because Jennifer was spotted yesterday rocking a brand-new abbreviated bob. Long gone is the swept-back crop, and in its place is a chic, choppy layered cut styled in loose, beachy waves. The pixie had its moment; a new season (is spring really real, or is it just a figment of our frost-bitten winter brain?) calls for a new look.

We (and basically everyone else) recommend Bumble and Bumble's Surf line to get the same look-regardless of the length of your own strands, the brand's shampoo, conditioner, and sea spray will turn your hair into a piecey, ocean-kissed masterpiece not unlike the Hunger Games actress. Even better? It works best on day-old hair, so you can skip the shower. Pro tip: Spray dry hair until it's wet with a sea salt spray, and then rough-dry it to mimic Jen's texture. Rub in a little texture paste if you're feeling especially ambitious.
