Jennifer Lawrence Proves You Don't Have to Be 12 to Wear Your Hair Half Up (VIDEO)

There's nothing I love more than a celebrity who comes off totally normal and unfazed by fame in interviews. If you missed Late Show With David Letterman last night, then you missed out on the REAL Jennifer Lawrence. Sure sure, we all know she's freakishly awesome and are totes anticipating her crazily hyped performance as Katniss in The Hunger Games, which comes out in theaters on March 23. However, watching her sit-down with Letterman was a breath of fresh air. Shoot girl, I too used to get tormented by my brother growing up! High five!

I did love one other thing about Jen's appearance on Letterman last night, though: her hair. It is HARD to rock a half-up, half-down hairstyle. Somehow though, J. Lawr (we're on a nickname basis now) looks like an absolute sexpot with her half-back tresses.

I don't know about you, but I couldn't be more jealous.

As a woman with thick hair myself, it's always nice to get the strands out of my face and pull it back. But I have this constant dilemma: I feel like it makes me look like I'm 12 years old. With my hair half back, you could simply hand me a My Little Pony lunch box, walk me into my first day of fifth grade, and I'd blend in perfectly.

Jennifer's half-back style, though, is sexy. It looks effortless, but probably took at least a half hour to perfect. It's messy, yet chic, and if I had to guess -- is better than anything I could ever do because she has the perfect set of bangs to finish it all off.

Sure, we all love the long wavy hair look a la Kim Kardashian, but something tells me Jennifer's could be the perfect (and easy!) summer style. Looks like I'll have to find me some detachable bangs and try the whole shebang myself.
