Get the Look: Emma Stone's Met Ball Beauty Look

Monday night's NYC Met Ball had a guest list that read like a who's who in the celebrity and fashion world, and they all showed up dressed to impress. Emma Stone, in particular, radiated on the red carpet in a little red Lanvin dress. Her hair and makeup were absolute perfection, so we had to get the scoop on how to create the look at home.

Stylist Mara Roszak wanted Emma's hair to emulate the same fun and effortless style as her gown, so he created a "doll-like" look that consisted of a loose bun and side-swept bangs.

To create the look, start with damp hair, and apply a root lifting product, like MATRIX Total Results Amplify Wonder Boost Root Lifter ($16, Matrix.com), evenly throughout hair for all-over volume without weighting it down.

Next, blow out hair with a medium-sized boar bristle brush for a soft, natural finish

Once you finish drying, apply a texturizing product, like MATRIX Design Pulse Mega Dust ($15, Matrix.com), to the roots for extra texture, volume and hold.

Gather hair at the top of the head in a ponytail. Secure with an elastic, letting the front and side pieces around the hairline loosely fall out for a wispy, feminine look. With a soft brush or comb, gently teased the roots of the ponytail to add more volume, and then loosely pin hair into an undone bun shape, crisscrossing bobby pins for extra hold.

Gently swoop bangs across the forehead, securing them to the side with a hair accessory.

Spray hairspray all over the hair, and finish the look with a shine spray, like Biolage colorcarethérapie Shine Shake Spray ($14, Matrix.com), for a high-gloss, chic finish.

How To Get A Christina Aguilera Makeover

For makeup, celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin created a playful, yet edgy look to complement Emma's hair and gown. "I paired a classic eye shape with whimsical lashes and transparent red lips for an ultra feminine ballerina inspired look," said Goodwin.

To create the look, line your upper lids with a fine line of liquid liner, like Revlon Liquid Eyeliner in Black ($7.39, Revlon.com). To give eyes extra definition, sweep on a couple of coats of mascara, like Revlon's Photo Ready 3D Volume Mascara in Black ($8.99, Revlon.com).

Finish off the look by sweeping a light pink blush on the apples of your cheeks and applying a coat of sheer color lipstick, like Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Cherry Tart ($7.49, Revlon.com).
