Get the Look: Tracy Reese Spring 2013

We stopped by backstage before the Tracy Reese Spring 2013 runway show and totally fell for the tousled bedhead 'dos. Inspired by Rihanna's half-shaved strands, TRESemmeé stylist Jeanie Syfu dreamed up a faux undercut effect for the lovely ladies walking down the designer's runway. Follow these quick and easy steps to recreate this 80s-inspired style!

#1: Enhance your natural texture with a blow dry lotion and power dry for a loose wavy finish. Once your hair is dry, lightly brush through your locks with a paddle brush to soften up the product.

#2: Create a deep side part (trend alert!) continuing diagonally back to the nape of the opposite side and clip to section away.

#3: Using a firm hold gel, create a tight cornrow braid with the lower section of your hair starting behind your ear and fasten with an elastic.

#4: Release the top section of hair and spray with a volumizing dry shampoo throughout for that awesome matte texture (double trend alert!).

#5: Apply a bit more gel through the front of your hairline, but make sure to leave the rest of your mane soft and loose. Set your hair with pin curl clips around the hairline and diffuse with a blow dryer on high heat for a little extra kick of height and body.

#6: Spray your creation with some finishing hair spray and release the clips as soon as the gel dries. Give your hair a quick toss over one shoulder and you're ready for the street style photographers at Lincoln Center!
