Your Manicure Can Smell as Festive as it Looks

My opinion of scented nail polish is two-fold: On one hand (or, actually, both) (get it?), they're super-cool. On the other, their generally cloying scents are not something I want to inhale each time my hands approach my nasal region. (Have you ever eaten pizza with bubble gum-scented polish on? Don't.) But then I came across Revlon's new Parfumerie collection, out this month. The 24 polishes come in crisp, unexpected scents like Italian Leather and Fresh Linen. But it's the holiday fragrances--Wintermint, Balsam Fir, and Autumn Spice--that will make these my go-to polishes for the next three weeks.

Creamy green Balsam Fir smells about as close to the real thing as a nail varnish could get. I've been painting it on four nails and using Autumn Spice, a red-copper, as an accent color (and scent). Wintermint is a shimmery green with flecks of gold and ice blue glitter that looks, and smells, festive. All the scents only linger for about a day, so you need to change your polish regularly if you want to stay in the holiday spirit, right down to your fingertips.
