Matching Couple Tatttoos: Yay or Nay?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have found the same tattoo inspiration. And they could do a lot worse than Teddy Roosevelt. See, back in July, Cyrus had a quote from a 1910 speech the President gave inked onto her left arm: "So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat." Now, fiance Liam Hemsworth has followed suit, and revealed on Instagram (below) that he had some lines that precede the quote on Miley's forearm tatted on his: "If he fails, at least fails while doing greatly."

There's a lot of regrettable ink in the celeb world: Mistakes are made, tastes change, people break up. I mean, let's look at the litany here: Rihanna maintains that her French is fine, but her neck tattoo reads "Rebelle Fleur" when grammatically, the phrase should read "Fleur Rebelle." Hayden Panettiere got misspelled Italian on her back in 2009-fortunately the translation is "Live without regrets" so she didn't sweat it so much.

Megan Fox grew to hate the giant Marilyn Monroe face on her arm. (She thought it attracted "negative energy.") Kelly Osbourne and 50 Cent both told Allure that they wished they could un-do some of their ink; with the rapper sharing that he was having some of his tats removed: "I was afraid I was becoming a comic book," he said. Tattoos linked to a significant other are even riskier than others and a lot trickier to get rid of than someone's phone number: Johnny Depp infamously had his "Winona Forever" altered to "Wino Forever;" ouch on multiple counts there.

But somehow I doubt that Cyrus and Hemsworth will have similar regrets. First off, those Roosevelt quotes are quality. And when it comes to coupling up in the tattoo department, related quotes that technically can stand alone are definitely better than naming names on one's ring finger. (Not that I don't believe in your love, Cy-Worth. I do!)
