Nars Cosmetics Goes Artsy with Upcoming Andy Warhol Collection

The man who made Campbell's Tomato Soup cans a work of art will soon be heading to a makeup counter near you. Nars Cosmetics is slated to release a limited edition Andy Warhol beauty line countrywide in October 2012. International gals will have to wait until November 2012 for its debut.
Nars Cosmetics founder François Nars will spearhead the collection's designs. According to a Women's Wear Daily report, we can expect "innovative packaging, formulas and shades" in a line that's meant to "evoke the cool, image-rich, character-laden world of Warhol."
The line is officially licensed by the Andy Warhol Foundation. You'll have to wait until it gets closer to the launch date for releases about specific products and pricing. To hold you over in the meantime, we've heard that you can expect products inspired by Warhol's famed paintings and lively color choices.
We're expecting a war over Warhol in the beauty aisles come fall!
