Orange Eyeshadow, Burgundy Mascara, and Other Strange Secrets to Dianna Agron's Spectacular Makeup

Dust off that 657-shade eyeshadow palette you've hardly ever used, because I'm about to show you how to use some of those somewhat-unconventional colors--or rather Dianna Agron is. At the premiere of The Bling Ring, she paired a charming topknot with makeup that made her look so warm and radiant. However, this isn't your basic bronzy brown eyeshadow, upon further inspection.

As it turns out, makeup artist Georgie Eisdell mixed two eyeshadows to create the smoky "rusty orange" color she used in Dianna's creases and outer corners: Nars Eyeshadow in Persia and Laura Mercier Baked Eye Color in Terracotta. Then, she added another surprising shade: pink. "I came in with Laura Mercier Baked Eye Color in Ballet Pink at the inner corner of her eyes to create a highlight and a softness," she says. The final surprise? "To finish off her eyes, I used YSL Faux Cils Mascara in Burgundy to make her green eyes pop and to add more depth to the lash line."

To summarize: orange and pink eyeshadow, followed by burgundy mascara. Now that's a combo we don't think of every day, but it sure looks like it can work.
