We want to thank you, our readers, for indulging us in our foodie/beauty passions. Every now and again we want to let you know we're listening and answering all of the questions pouring into doB headquarters. It's worth repeating, we aren't on anyone's payroll and we don't accept freebies. The products and recipes we endorse are carefully selected and tested. They inspire us and make us feel beautiful, inside and out. Our goal is to create original, simple and satisfying recipes with healthy ingredients as well as quick, easy, beauty products, tips and trends for a generation of time-pressed women.

We love to hear your thoughts. Keep bringin' it…

We started this site to create a community. We are growing by the day. Women who share the same passion for all things food and beauty. We are the girl about town. We are mothers. We are grandmothers, wives and daughters. We are fearless and each warriors in our own way.

Thanks for listening. Xoxo Heidi and Lisa

Now for the drama…

It's almost holiday time and the eyes have it. Check out Laura Mercier's Canyon Collection for Fall 2011. I opted for the following "best in beauty" eye shadow combination to bring out the hazel and tone down the frazzle.

Pine Bronze - A showstopper, limited edition khaki green with a gold shimmer to die for.

Gold Dust - A deep, shimmering gold from the permanent collection.

Cedar - A limited edition tawny golden brown.

This combination reminds me of burning sunsets, lush green landscapes and the spectacular colors of the Grand Canyon.

The triple threat packs a punch and if you choose to up your game try Jungle, Caviar Stick Eye Colourand really smoke it out.

Just apply and let the holiday party smack down begin…

Dishin' Tip - Have them put all three colors in a custom compact for convenience. Makes it easier to carry in an evening bag.
