DIY Nail Treatment

Just in case Occupy Wall Street hasn't screamed it loud enough for you I will repeat it now :This economy blows! So, why not this year we try to pinch some pennies without sacrificing our fashionista pride. On average the American women spends anywhere from $6,000 - $8,000 a year on beauty maintenance...ya we were outraged too, so we have one way you can cut those costs in half and still keep up with the trends too. Nails may seem like a difficult thing to tackle if you don't have the sturdiest of hands or the most creative mind, but here are a couple quick tricks to create a DIY nail salon in your home. Sally Hansen nail decals and "Salon Effects"nail polish strips are a fast way to add some dazzle and shine to your nails without the mess of polish. If you're in the mood to try it yourself then check out the "Color Club: Art Club" nail art lacquer collection, there small brushes make it easier to replicate those tiny designs we pay $30+ for. Also when in doubt Sephora by OPI has a great affordable line of glitter, shine and extensive color pallet to do an easy nail remodel. An FYI for what to keep in mind while shopping for your next addition to the nail polish bin, 2012 spring season will be an array of metallic, mint, ombre and glitter!
