Fruit-filled, adult-pleasing cocktails are perfect treats on hot days. Mix one up for a relaxing evening, or serve some at your Memorial Day cookout.

Strawberry Margarita Spritzers

Pulse together in a blender until smooth 1 (10-oz.) package frozen whole strawberries, thawed, 1 (10-oz.) can frozen strawberry daiquiri mix, thawed, 1 cup tequila, 1/4 cup orange liqueur, and 2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice. Pour into a pitcher, and stir in 1 chilled (1-liter) bottle club soda just before serving. Serve over ice. Garnish, if desired, with lime slices and quartered fresh strawberries.

Watermelon-Mint Margaritas
























Place 4 cups of seeded and chopped watermelon in a single layer on a baking sheet. Freeze 4 hours or until firm. Coat rims of 5 cocktail glasses with lime juice; dip in sugar. Process frozen watermelon, 1/2 cup tequila, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp. grated lime rind, 1/4 fresh lime juice, and 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh mint leaves in a blender until slushy. Pour into glasses. Garnish, if desired, with fresh mint sprigs.

For a kid-friendly version, substitute 1/2 cup orange or apple juice for tequila.

Carolina Peach Sangria

Combine 1 (750-milliliter) bottle rosé wine, 3/4 cup vodka, 1/2 cup peach nectar, 2 Tbsp. thawed frozen lemonade concentrate, and 2 Tbsp sugar in a pitcher; stir until sugar is dissolved. Stir in 1 pound peeled and sliced peaches and 1 (6-oz.) package fresh raspberries. Cover and chill 8 hours. Stir in 2 cups chilled club soda just before serving.
Peach-flavored vodka may be substituted for regular vodka. Omit peach nectar if peach-flavored vodka is used.

Berry Splash

Stir together 1 (0.13-oz.) package unsweetened cherry drink mix (Note: We tested with Kool-Aid Cherry Unsweetened Soft Drink Mix), 6 cups white cranberry juice, 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 cups water in a large pitcher until sugar is dissolved. Cover and chill. For a fun garnish, fill ice cube trays with fresh blueberries and water to make blueberry ice cubes.

Cava Sangria

Press 8 large mint leaves against sides of a large pitcher with back of wooden spoon to release flavors. Stir in 1 chilled (750-milliliter) bottle Cava sparkling wine (Other sparkling wine or Champagne may be substituted), 3/4 cup chilled white grape juice, 1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries, and 1/4 cup orange liqueur. Serve immediately over ice. Garnish, if desired, with fresh sugar cane sticks.
